STEAM, GRILL and EAT it while it's PIPING HOT!!! Yet another arrival of the weekends. So what's up for this week?!? (Can you guess where were we in the photos?) After much considerations for this coming week's activity, we set our mind on steamboat over at bugis. The kushinbo plan wasn't feasible, but well, everyone of us was fine with the steamboat idea. "天天火锅", and this was the place that we chose for steamboat last evening. lt's like a two-in-one built in steamboat where we get to grill and steam our food. lt's more fun grilling the food. In the end, our TOMYAM 火锅汤 wasn't very popular. Seems like we just dumped the food inside the soup and barely touch them. But in actual fact, our TOMYAM soup tasted more like 麻辣soup 'cause it's rather sour and spicy. You can imagine the food soak in there for long till it turn sour...somehow, it tasted like food that has gone bad (*laughs*)
Otah is nice. Seeing the appearance alone and you know that it's nicely cooked. Not to worry, it's not burnt on the other side. We do know how to control the fire, haha...we grilled otahs on the hot plate and it took some while for us to cook it. There's no crabs there, a pity...(there's only crabmeats, lolz...) Sharon likes hotdog! All of us love the grilled fish and the small mantous. Speaking of mantous, Edwin simply finished up all four mantous that were meant for each one of us. How dare he?!? And so, his punishment for doing that was to get 50 mantous for us to throw at him. Alrite, just a joke here! ln the end, he took for us and this time round, the mantous we ate were hot and crispy 'cause they're just fried!
We often mistaken the chicken for the fish 'cause the colour appearance of both are really alike. A few times, we cooked the chicken instead of fish. No choice, we just have to finish them up...
As usual, without fail, edwin would always ask for a display photo.
After this filling steamboat dinner last night, the "panel of judges" has few words to comment on the food there. Besides the food quality, it's important to know the services of the place as well. Let's hear what they have to say.
Few points to take note: 1. Some judges commented that food was okay, whereas some thought it wasn't so. (Different views, perhaps)
" 食物大同小异..."
"There's no crab..."
" TOMYAM soup taste like 麻辣汤...?!?" (it's sour!)
2. Service wasn't that good...why so? - we approached the staffs there a few times to change the aluminium foil but they seem to ignore us.
