17th & 18thFinally this long awaited day has arrived! Saturated with happiness, the four of us began our very first OWN foursome chalet. Earlier in the morning, Sharon, Huimei & Edwin met up at lot 1 mac to touch up 'her' birthday card and had a discussion in preparation for the surprise at night for Joyce's birthday. As the clock ticked by and when the minute hand reached 10 o'clock, the three of us then proceeded to meet joyce at the CCK ctrl station. Our trio's plan was not revealed to her because it was meant to be a SURPRISE for her later in the night, interesting huh!(Day 1)10amThe journey to pasir ris began11.30amDespite the fact that Pasir Ris is at the other end from our living area, we reached there quite fast, thanks to our chit chattie session on the mrt which had made the journey a more interesting one. We arrived at this long awaited destination after about an hour's ride.Soon after that, we went straight to Fairprice for groceries "shopping spree", hah! We had to buy our groceries to last us for the 2 days 1 night stay. It was really fun shopping for groceries together with the pushing of trolley and the dumping of tibits, cup noodles, fruits, nutella into it! And also not forgetting our phototakings along the way in the supermarket. 12.30pmLunch Time! Went to Just Acia for a heavy "breakfast + lunch". It was a well-spent buffet, which cost ONLY 5.90++, 6.90++ or 7.90++ and comes with free flow of drinks cum ice-cream. YUM!2.30pmBOOK IN TIME!!!Exactly on the dot, the four of us booked in. Our room number was 1817. Our 2 days 1 night stay was on the 17th & 18th! Such a coincidence! We even went to bet lottery on our lucky room number,hah. Ours was at BLK H. It was a stone's throw away from the entrance of the resort. We were especially excited when it comes to finding our room. The whole room is clean and rather cosy. Our fridge is also spacious. Excitement filled the air then. The four of us were busy exploring the whole room and putting our groceries and donuts into the fridge. There is a vaccum flask inside our room and we can easily get the hot water from outside. Nice environment. 4.00pmIn the late afternoon, we went to check out E-Hub shopping mall. Firstly, we chanced upon the orchid bowl. I had a strong urge to bowl, but the price for bowling was not cheap. Despite me having the nebo member's discount rate, we did not play in the end because it was only available for nebo card holders. And it would only be fun if the four of us play together. We then went on to the arcade for Basketball match and Daytona racing...hah. It was a DRAW match. Edwin also played the "san guo fighting game".6.30pm`DINNER TIMECooked our own cup noodles and boiled hotdogs in hot water. It was a nice experience cooking our own meal together instead of having barbecue during our chalet. We also brought back sour plum & spicy chicken from ximen to add on to our dishes for our dinner. It seemed like a sweet, heart-warming "family" meal, hah.NIGHT TIMEAND NOW THE INTERESTING PART BEGINS...Our trio's surprise for her is going to commence! Sharon & Me went to mac to get ready our cut fruits with nutella for her whereas Edwin tried to stall for some time in the room. Then Edwin found an excuse to come out of the room to meet me and Sharon. Sharon blaughed Joyce to go to our room's cupboard to take out a winnie the pooh box. When Joyce came out with that, the 3 of us immediately sang her the birthday song. OH my! How touching... She was astonished. It was a sign that our trio's surprise for her was a SUCCESS! Yeah, we applauded!
Night had fallen...We drank Jolly Shandys. Though the alcohol content was very low, we were super HIGH,hah. Guess we're too happy. We played playstation, with games like bishi bashi, king of fighters, dance dance revolution and watched Edwin's lollipop's concert. All these fun dragged on till 3am mid-night before we're knocked out after a fatigue day of activities.
