We're back with more recommendations! Try figuring the words below. Yes, it's read as Once Upon A Milk Shake. This is a sweet, cosy and small milk shake cafe located at Scape. Scape is more towards a youth hangout area. There, you can see youngsters and young adults roaming around. You can also spot flea markets just on the first level before you enter the mall. Anyway, if we're not wrong, this milkshake cafe is situated at level one as well, but inside the mall.
That Sunday, Edwin and me visited this milkshake cafe for a chill out session. The cafe sells mainly milkshake, seen from its name. Aside to the different milkshake flavours, there's also ice-cream for sale.
Photos for you to browse.
We ordered Spooky Mocha and Green Apple Bicycle milkshake. Spooky Mocha was too sweet for my liking. I think Edwin's one taste alright since i didn't hear him complain about it. His should be more towards the sour flavour. I should have knew better not to go for Spooky Mocha, haha!
Photos always look good with effects. Recently, we're so addicted to iphone apps! In particular to LemoLemo and Instagram. Yes, we did mention it before in previous entries.
This was edited with Narshville. It suits me.
As for Edwin's one, it was edited with Lord Kelvin.
Lord Kelvin effect is nice with its snowy white border! If you've got an iphone, you seriously should download these two awesome apps!!!!
Soon after the first chill out session, we went on to shop around Orchard. As you know, shopaholic Edwin would never fail to get his hands on his love at first sight shirts, accessories...etc home once he sets his eyes on them. Indeed true, he got home a sleeveless top and an accessory. Check out his top.
This coloured top looks good on him and it's matching to his light brown shorts. The only downside to it is this top is slightly pricey. SGD 70 plus if i'm not wrong. No GSS sale for this. So long as he likes it. More importantly is the buyer's first impression of the top. Once in a while, we splurge to pamper ourselves, tsktsk! Still, considered a nice buy.
We had good buys for that day. Aside to Edwin's loots, another mission of ours is accomplished! winks* We shall reveal it another day;)
Night falls soon after few hours of shopping and we came to a decision to settle our dinner in Marche. That day was my first attempt in trying out Marche. Pretty excited 'for i"ve always wanted to visit this restaurant long ago. Edwin was familiar with Marche as he tried out once. Somehow, i'm pretty impressed by the entire restaurant concept. You don't feel like you're in Singapore once you entered the restaurant. It has got this european western feel.
There are two levels in this restaurant. The first level is meant for queuing. There are two separate rows for the customers to queue up in an orderly manner. One row meant for 1-4 guests and another one is meant for a bigger group(>4guests). The first storey has this takeaway area where customers are able to buy back their pastries, crossiants, cakes...etc.
Very soon, we were given our seats.
Some random photo combinations we took while waiting for our food.
Finally after waiting patiently for 20 minutes, the food was here. The interesting thing about Marche is we've to go up to the stall counter to collect our food upon seeing the devices given to us light up. That's how they operate. More like a self-service, but making use of the devices.
Each customer is also given a guest card like the above one. The purpose of that is when upon ordering, one will have to show them the card and the vendor will then credit the food amount into the card. Payment will be done towards the end before leaving the restaurant.
Let's check out the sumptuous dinner we had that night.
Chicken pasta with tomato sauce and pepperoni pizza for our dinner! Drooling at the sight?
Let's take a shot before we dig in. Food are not just meant for eating, but also for nice taking.
Definitely a fulfilling dinner that goes without saying. Our stomach were so bloated from this heavy dinner! Upon payment near the exit counter, there sat a corner with sticky chewy candies for customers. Take few before leaving. we just love sticky candies! YUM YUM!!!!;)
Marche also sells these sticky candies in bottle. One bottle priced at 9 plus sgd if i'm not wrong.
What a nice Sunday evening spent! Life is relaxing this way having to indulge in delectable delicacies as well as pampering yourself with some good buys. We're still in search of more nice hangout areas in Singapore. So, how do you spend your Sunday? With families? friends? Or perhaps a date out with your gf/bf? haha. Do share with us if you've also got interesting activities or any nice hangout areas.
That's for now.

Bon Voyage, Sharon!
Sharon is in Beijing at current. She flew off on the monday to China for her one week course exchange programme. we're missing you girl!!! This Saturday feels empty without her presence for it is always a norm for we trio to meet up every weekend. Girl, we will be waiting for your return to share with us your exciting and rewarding trip. We want photos, your tagged foodies from China and most importantly, your experience there! I'm sure she has got lots of stories to share. Before Sharon flew off on the monday, we had another dinner last Saturday over at Breeks Cafe in cwp. Despite renovations at Causeway point, there are still few eateries for you to hang out each storey. This time round, we visited the Breeks cafe (western restaurant) located at the 4th level. Guess what we ordered that day?
Looks tempting huh? Presenting to you the oreo, brownie bites and milo crunch chocolatey ice-cream dessert! Sweet sensation! Sharon ordered this. For both me and edwin, we ordered their main course Cajun Grilled Chicken Chop. The portion is huge. The main course is served with waffle fries and chicken chop. Simply mouth-drooling. Thumbs Up for this! Though it is a little pricey for just an ala-carte main course, but the money spent is definitely worthwhile for a good meal. Note: The photo isn't deceiving. It tastes as good as how the appearance is. Cajun Grilled Chicken Chop served in SIZZLING hot plate.Remember we did mention in our previous entry that we're going to explore edwin's iphone photo apps again this week. Yes, we did. The photo on your right is the one with the edited effect. Nice. Back to the food in Breeks Cafe , we had a sumptuous dinner as well as a good chat throughout the evening till the cafe closes. We were the last three to leave. That's a norm for us as we are always too engrossed in our trio chatty session. Despite meeting up once a week, there are still endless stuffs to talk about and we can go on and on if time persists.

Iphone Apps, just COOL!
We're playing around with edwin's newly bought iphone 4 the other day at causeway point's mac while having dinner. He has these newly installed camera applications- Instagram and Lomo Lomo in his phone which are just too cool. At current, these two applications are the hot favourites found in most iphone. And they must be INSTALLED in if you're an iphone owner! The various effects in this app add on to the fun when editing photos. How convenient could it be nowadays to edit your photos with Iphone's Apps! There are few effects which we find them cool. Nashville, Vintage feel...etc. Check out our edited photo effects below.
Sharon & HuimeiEdwin
And he has got a cute chip 'n' dale iphone cover!

Time flies. It's not long before arrival of Saturday in just a day's time. Today is FRIDAY(TGIF)! So what's up for tomorrow?!? We've got a plan in mind. Hopefully edwin is not called back for army exercise tomorrow! Pray that green man signal doesn't appear on tv! haha.

New delicacies up on our menu list
Having frequent western and chinese restaurants, it's time for a new change of taste. This time round, we visited an indian restaurant under sharon's recommendation. If you still remember we did mention in our previous entry about the palatable indian delicacies savoured at Sharon's 21st party. It is simply heavenly delicious. Till now, we're still missing it... Finally, we had the chance to see the restaurant for ourselves. With the initial thought that this indian food is actually located at one of the stalls in coffeeshop, i was wrong. It is a restaurant by itself, air-conditioned and well-known for its varieties of indian delicacies. Quite a number of people patronize this restaurant according to sharon. Indeed, we saw the crowd. It took the waiter some time to serve us our food 'for it's almost full house in the restaurant. We were served with briyani, veggie and pumpkin. You get to choose between rice and briyani. Of course, we went for briyani. One good thing about having your meal in this restaurant is it's free flow for the briyani/rice, veggies and crackers. It seems like buffet though, but not entirely. For other side dishes like mutton, chicken, potatoes etc, you'll have to order straight from the front stall. Fish head curry as gravy for your briyani adds on to the spice, just awesome! It completes the taste. If you're a spice-lover, you'll definitely love this meal.
Camera roll... Let's look through some of the photos taken for the day.

This is how the inside of the restaurant looks like. Since it's not a foodcourt, the price is slightly more pricey, well, but definitely worth the meal. we paid around 10 plus dollars each for this hearty meal. As you can see, it is similar to normal restaurant food price.
Pamper yourself with varieties of food.
If you're interested in visiting this Karu's curry, it is located somewhere around bukit panjang area. You can take bus 67 straight from cck bus interchange and alight at the stop just outside the restaurant:) So what's up for this week? we shall see. That's for now.

Sharon turns 21:D
Sharon is the first among us to hit 21. Time flies. In the blink of an eye, we're going into the third year of celebration for her. However, this year's was a different one for it's a lifetime most important birthday celebration - she's finally hitting her twenty-first!!!:D Another best part of it was, her birthday coincidentally fell on chinese new year. Twenty first cum chinese new year celebration! A good sign. Double Blessing in this rabbit year!
And so, we went early on that day to help her out with the preparation before her party commences. We blew some balloons for decor. At the same time, indulging in Sharon's house bak gua and crapping jokes as usual. It was a fun, enjoyable process having to help out our bestie prepare for her twenty-first. Though we didn't get to do much for her... Hope you don't mind, girl!
Apart from Sharon's 21st birthday celebration, we were also celebrating her grandma's birthday together with hers. So, you could imagine how lively the whole atmosphere was then with both celebrations in the house! Not forgetting birthdays falling on chinese new year! Such a coincidence!
Below are some photos captured before the commencement of Sharon's party. Since there's no crowd yet, it's best to cam-whore! haha! Buffet set up beforehand, awaiting guests' arrival.
How could we possibly miss out a shot of birthday girl herself?!? haha.
Around noon time, the guests arrived. The party began. Time to indulge in the buffets!!!!
A varieties of food. There's also a mixture of chinese and indian food for you to choose from. Guess what, we went for........ INDIAN FOOD! It was Sharon's strong recommendation! We went along with her and tried out the indian food first. There's mutton, briyani, curry veggie, fish head curry etc... The indian delicacies are simply marvellous! The spice is damn shiok! There is no way you can ever resist the temptation not to have it the second time! HEAVENLY DELICIOUS!
Afterwhich, we shared a plate of chinese food. Love the prawns dipped in sauce. Edwin love the shark fin and he had three bowls of that. I'm not one who really fancy shark fin soup, so i only had a spoonful of it that day. well, not that bad actually! haha.
Before we forget to mention, Sharon is really good at making mua chee! She personally made mua chee for her guests on her party. So sweet of birthday girl to do so. And her mua chee is delicious! Seriously, we were like a glutton that day! First was mua chee, then indian food and chinese food then back to indian food again. Missing the palatable indian delicacies now... We shall have it again another day!
At the same time, we met up with other junior college friends during Sharon's party and we took some photos as keepsake. Sometimes, it's good to have common friends 'for we get the chance to catch up with one another during this kind of party, be it a short while. It was also nice mingling around with Sharon's poly friends. Despite us being older than them by few years, we managed to get along well together and ended up playing gambling cards, haha! Still in the mood of the festive season... The usual thing most will do during cny.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON! (It's still your birthday month)
HOPE YOU HAD A BLAST 21ST!
Be blessed, girl!

The trend is back during semester break. Usually after a semester, we'll try to organize a senior cum junior day outing to catch up with one another, in particular with our seniors! This is the norm for us. On a happier note, we're glad it once again went on smoothly as planned. Considered successful huh though it's only a small group. It's always the usual few who are available and agreeable to this outing, hence, we decided to keep it small this time round. Nevertheless, there was endless fun with them all that day. Early in the morning, Jie ying agreed to meet us up for a morning breakfast 'for Sharon will have to leave after 11am once again. Thanks Jie ying for being willing to meet up this early with us, haha! Sorry to deprive you from your sleep, lol. As for the trio, we're used to this kind of early morning breakfast somehow... Judging from the previous few breakfast sessions we had on a Sunday morning... As Sharon got to leave early, we must definitely capture some photos with her and Jie ying as keepsake. As for me and edwin, we decided to leave more phototakings towards the later part of the day since we'll be with her for the rest of the afternoon and evening time:) Despite having to leave early, Sharon coincidentally bumped into two other seniors of ours on her way out to meet her friends. Still, she managed to take a short quick glance at the seniors... As for the rest of us, we proceeded on to our next stop, Buona Vista, to meet up with eileen and later on meet fang xuan straight at Holland Village for EVERYTHING WITH FRIES! If you still remember, earlier on in one of our previous entries, we did mention about this western cafe restaurant which serves delectable western food. This time round, we're back to this place again for it's our suggestion! They have all the starters, main courses, desserts...etc written on the wall. It looks as though it was written with white chalk on the old kind of blackboards in school. Nice interior design. These were what we've ordered that day. Eileen went for this breaded king salmon main course. The salmon tastes okay, but we all feel that the sauce that comes along doesn't go very well with the salmon. Next time round, we shall just do away with its sauce. we couldn't make out what sauce is it either after tasting it. eileen brought along another small accessory-like camera and we all were fascinated with it. Note, this is not a fake camera! It is REAL and it works on those kind of films, whereby after you've captured, you'll have to wash out the films in order to see those photos. Somewhat like the old type of cameras but with a more artistic design! How interesting, isn't it? After a fulfilling lunch at Everything with fries, we proceeded on to our 3rd stop for the day, which is Haji Lane. Edwin couldn't curb his shopaholic fever and we accompanied him down Bugis to this Haji Lane to shop. I've never been there before but heard others raving about this place. This is Haji Lane. It is located somewhere near bugis area, but you'll have to walk a stretch of road. Haji Lane is more like rows of shophouses as you can see from the above photo. Some random shots captured in the shops in Haji Lane. Eventually, edwin got himself this top with pink strips and a grey button on it at a discounted price of $25. That's not the only piece he bought. There are more to it, haha! We finally combed the whole Haji Lane 'for it isn't that big. Soon after that, we proceeded on to Iluma for a tea time break. Our legs were almost breaking and we were all tired out from the long walk. we went to this ice-cream dessert place to chill.
And again it's CAM-WHORING TIME!!!!! Great day out with the seniors once again! Andd this time round, we have more seniors joining us! The more, the merrier! Michelle will be flying back Aussie soon next mon. we'll miss you, senior. Bon Voyage! Thank you seniors for all the fun and do take care! We shall be seeing you guys some other days again, most probably after the end of next semester! That's our cds trend, isn't it?:) That's for now.

Keep the fun spirit alive! It was hell loads of fun last Thursday. We've got activties lined up for us from morning till late evening with different groups of companions. Early morning, the trio met up for movie at GV Plaza Sing. I've got the priviledge to purchase 1-for-1 movie ticket during my birthday month 'for i'm a Golden Village member. With this fantastic offer given to me, i extended out my invitation to edwin and sharon and together we proceed down to Plaza Sing to catch the 11.30am show- *HELLO STRANGER*! It has been ages since we last watched a movie together. The very last one was *Alvin and the chipmunks*. And that was quite some time ago... We boarded bus 190 and headed down to plaza sing. We reached our destination on the dot and soon after purchasing the tickets at the counter, edwin went on to buy nachos cheese munchies. Our row numbers. *HELLO STRANGER* is a thai movie. BUTTT, it has got both english and chinese subtitles so you don't have to worry that you can't make sense out of the entire show. To us, we feel that it is a nice, touching romance movie with some comical essence. Though a hilarious show, some parts are really touching when both the female and male lead come together. Sparks Fly* We shall not reveal too much of it here! By the way, the male lead is kinda' good-looking and he's a funny chap inside the movie. You know something, throughout the whole show, we've still yet to know their names in the movie 'for as the movie title goes: "HELLO STRANGER", haha!
As the synopsis goes:
A love story about two strangers who know nothing about each other and fall in love. He is a football fanatic, videogame nerd, social butterfly, comic lover, tired of love stories and a cynic of love while she is Korean soap opera fan, beef lover, devout radio station listener, avid book reader, and homebody. Together, they are perfect strangers who will travel, eat, share a room, and talk about anything and everything including each others top secrets. Soon after movie, Sharon got to rush down to meet her secondary school friends. Edwin and me continued with our own activities for the day. Firstly, he accompanied me down to some ulu places in Chinatown to collect movie tickets 'for i've won 4 narnia in season tickets by InSing. It was difficult finding our way there but we managed to get the tickets at the end. Thank you edwin for your company. After that long search and we finally got hold of our tickets, we went on to settle down at a dian xin restaurant, somewhere in Chinatown to have a tea time break. This dian xin restaurant recommended by Edwin is simply terrific! Love the egg tarts and the fried shrimp dumplings to the max!!!!! The thought of it now simply makes one drool. Sharon, we shall bring you here some days to savour their delicious dian xin. Anddd we've yet to try their claypot which also seems good.
You have our guarantee! This restaurant seriously sells yummilicious dian xin. You've got to savour. The photos alone are appealing, don't you agree?!
we've also got koi to pamper ourselves under this hot weather.
That is not the end to it. Towards late afternoon going to evening time, both edwin and me met up with another group of companions, our seniors (eileen & michelle)!!! Michelle is finally back from Aussie, not permanent stay here but just for a short summer break. She's flying back soon next week. Still, we're glad we get to have this rare opportunity to meet up with her. Thanks eileen for informing us that she's back! And yet again, it's FOOD!!!! we just love to pamper ourselves and indulge in different varieties of foodiessss!!!! The next stop was Soup spoon. We recommend you the chicken soup here in Soup spoon! It is the best among the rest we've ordered. Inside the soup, it has got lots of tender chicken chunks and it seems like there's no end to it!
And nowwww it's CAM-WHORE TIME!!!
Edwin and michelle
eileen and me(huimei)
How could we have missed out taking photos with the seniors when we don't often see them? Definitely phototaking is a MUST here! haha.
As we continued to walk along Orchard, we chanced upon this christmas tree right outside Ion Orchard! A good time for another cam-whoring session! The bling bling christmas tree makes a nice background during the late evening.
It was a nice session out with the seniors. A pity Sharon couldn't join us for the whole day. Next time round, hope that the trio can meet up with the seniors once again for there is always laughters, joys and fantastic memories left behind when we are with them!
CDS simply rocks! It brings us all together! Common Dreams Shared♥♥♥
That's for now.
